A must for educators! Wink & Putney capture the essence of Vygotsky's pedagogy in this easy-to-read book. They provide insight into how Vygotsky differs from the traditional behaviorist views of classroom interactions. The authors provide many practical examples of theory-into-classroom-practice from a Vygotskian point of view.

A narrow vision of education
Misrepresentation of learning theories contrary to the authors' biases make this book useful to readers who already know better. I received it as a gift but wouldn't buy it for myself. This book does little to round out a library in psychology, educational psychology or developmental psychology.
